Good morning. The conjunctivitis is in both eyes and the 5 am nosebleed came from the right nostril, making both right and left nostrils neck in neck (nostril in nostril) with 2 nosebleeds each since yesterday. Symmetry! That’s a Nampon up my nose. They’re a godsend.

Has anyone else watched "The Substance"? OMG.
You would think Conservatives and Liberals could agree on both immigration and abortion policy.
Both should be safe and legal.
Hosts get to control their borders and say who gets in and who stays out.
The needs, desires, and boundaries of the host take precedence over the needs of the visitors.
If someone is turned back at the border, it might be tragic but it's not the host's problem.
Happy Last Night of Hanukkah!
This morning I rose at dawn, emptied the dishwasher, cleaned the guest room & bathroom, washed the sheets & towels, did a grocery shop at Meijer (by bike), cleaned the rear wheel of my other bike that keeps getting flats and installed new rim tape that FINALLY arrived last night, put in new tube and tire & reinstalled on bike & test rode, made guest bed with fresh sheets, & vacuumed half the house. That’s the domestic equivalent of riding 100km.

Bee-stung finger better slowly but surely. Still swollen and itchy but less so, to my great relief. Not taking the rest of my oral steroids because as predicted I didn’t sleep much, just lay in bed with heart pounding. Hopefully will sleep tonight and get a good healing bike ride in tomorrow.

Well I WAS gonna ride my velomobile in the Fourth of July parade but it’s rained out. Now I’m all dressed up with no place to go.
All I knew about the upcoming election is I am NOT voting for Biden. But now the Democrats might finally find another candidate!! I'm super excited to see who else I might not vote for!!

I got some nasty heel pain a few months ago and thought it might be bone spurs. The analysts did find some bone spurs, but not on my heel (on my metatarsals, which don't hurt). Also they diagnosed me with "pes plaus" (flat feet) as if I didn't know. So my heel pain remains a mystery, but it has lessened since I ditched my Merrell sandals for Birkenstocks.
My 82-year-old Mom has been butt-dialing me a lot lately.
