@Erik Cason is pure 🔥 in this one. 💯 to his point about being tired of the ideological theatre and just wanting to have civil discourse on specific issues. Watched this one with the girlfriend and now she wants to come to a bitcoin conference with me. View quoted note →

The mental gymnastics some people go through in an attempt to misunderstand and discredit someone that says something uncomfortable always fascinates me. It’s why people self-censor and fall in line with the crowd. Too risky to stand out. Seems like a boring way to live though. If you’re curious about something explore it, especially the uncomfortable parts. The right people will show up.

What a heartwarming documentary about bitcoin adoption in Peru. When I started at Lightning Labs in Jan 2018, I was working remotely from a coworking space in Lima. LND was still on testnet and I remember doing a video call with Jack Mallers to ask about Zap and to brainstorm ideas on what a good wallet UX could look like. The slums around Lima was an absolute reality check for the level of poverty in the country. To see how far we’ve come and witness Lightning adoption in the poorest corners of Peru spreading so much hope is absolutely incredible:

For me working with psychedelics helped immensely during my burnout. But always work with a therapist that is trained to guide you through the trauma. What comes up can be painful. A coach can help with burnout prevention, or to support with achieving goals after deeper work has been done. But when shit hits the fan, you need a professional therapist 💪 This talk by Rick Doblin helped me to feel safe to work with psychedelics: View quoted note →
