My current employer wanted to counter offer what I got from the employer I'm going to. They explained yesterday they really hate to lose me and are willing to do whatever it takes to keep me. I had what I believed was a fair request for changes that would keep me. The president calls my manager in and she sits next to me, eyeballs my ideas and proceeds to railroad me from the onset. Doesn't even let me explain what I had and says I dont produce enough to receive a managerial position. I didn't even have that on my list and for the past year I've been the only consistent inspector. everyone else has quit. I didn't even have to decide. never marry yourself to your employers pavement if you're in a situation that isn't great but isnt bad enough to make you quit outright....go get better, don't ever feel stuck #rant #nostr

Been an absolute long time. Life is changing so fast. Soon to be leaving my current job as the career path has recently been cut off due to private equity money buying us out. I'll be heading back out on the road to inspect water towers. This time I've negotiated better terms to offset any bs I may encounter. #changes #plebchain

You do what every red blooded Texan would do. You answer the door armed. I can only explain what just happened as being "swatted". I woke up to 4 police vehicles at my door. They received a distress call with a hang up that they tracked to my house being the closest to the last gps location. .I almost answered the door with my pistol in hand. Thank goodness my GF saw that it was an officer before I opened the door. I don't want to think what could have transpired if I did. #Nostr
