Those who can balance the dichotomy between the physical and the abstract are the true masters of this domain.
One of the best things about #Bitcoin in this era of broken legacy internet architecture is that you can look at mempool data and know for a fact that data is "real"
#Bitcoin is an institution. People enjoy talking about removing money from state, but are people really prepared to stand up and cease paying taxes. Are people prepared to excercise a high degree of civil disobedience. Are people prepared to simply be unsympathetic to the legacy system and its rule of law and regulations? Something tells me most Bitcoiners aren't prepared for this fight.. because that's what it's going to be. At some point in the future, this "peaceful" revolution is going to turn violent and people will literally have to fight for the future they believe in.
Hashrate continues to increase. It is continually getting cheaper and cheaper to participate in mining in #Bitcoin denominated terms. So ask yourself where the security budget argument is coming from. It's coming from people who want to instill fear into people and actually create new attack vectors. There is no security budget problem.
Looking forward to day 2 of #Bitcoin Amsterdam! Listening to the latest @Blue Collar Bitcoin and I'm appreciating you guys exploring the adversarial wargaming. That being said I have to say I don't really buy the narrative that inflation is a required psychological incentive to spur economic activity. To me the biggest roadblock to Bitcoin's success is simply governmental tyranny and them psychologically domesticating people. It's ultimately going to come down to individuals deciding for themselves that they want a more decentralized future, and that's going to be a big ask for many people who would rather go along to get along.
People need to take #Bitcoin as a warfighting technology really seriously.. the one way that Bitcoin ends up failing is by Bitcoiners not adopting an adversarial warlike mindset in opposition to the power centers currently in place. If we just take a passive attitude that over time Bitcoin wins.. that might be true.. but it also might not be and there is a lot we can do to take a more active role in fighting to make it a reality.
