Just finished installing a new on-demand hot water heater. Project goals included increasing hot water capacity and adding a backup heater. They are plumbed so they can run separately or the tank heater can feed the on-demand heater to increase capacity when needed, like filling the tub. Probably more efficient to switch to the on-demand, but it seems to take longer to get water at the faucet with the on-demand. Still reliant on grid natural gas, so the next step will be to get a non-grid source. One step at a time! #grownostr
