To quickly gauge whether you’re talking to a critically thinking person, there are a few questions I like to ask:
History is full of pseudosolutions that seemed like progress to everyone at the time but were eventually completely abandoned, like Prohibition, Eugenics, and the lobotomy (which won the Nobel prize). What are some possible pseudosolutions in society today?
History is full of governments and the media lying, and false flag events and hoaxes, like the Zimmerman Telegram, the Gulf of Tonkin, the Reichstag Fire. What do you think are some recent media lies that are false flags or hoaxes?
History is full of secret societies and intelligence agencies planning and doing shady stuff to manipulate world events, like Operation Northwoods, MK-Ultra, Cointelpro, Operation Gladio, The Bavarian Illuminati, the P2 lodge in Italy, etc. What are some operations you think might be going on now?

October 7th was a crime.
The official story where Hamas did an organic attack lacks the fundamental components of a plausible theory:
Means = ❌ capital flows to Gaza are strictly controlled by the enemy
Motive = ❌ zero chance of defeating enemy, guaranteed catastrophic response
Opportunity = ❌ the enemy has total surveillance of our territory
But if we consider the alternative theory, where the perpetrator was the IDF:
Means = ✅ they literally funded Hamas for a decade to undermine the peace process; they have superlative military and media capabilities
Motive = ✅ they craved pretext for annexing Gaza
Opportunity = ✅ they had total informational and operational control of the entire area
Now, add to this that the media evidence is extremely suspect, and the obvious conclusion is that the event was a false flag hoax to justify everything Israel proceeded to do
Cui bono? Who benefits? The greater Israel project and the Likkud party. Who loses? The people they try to claim initiated the action.
What is even the claim? Hamas totally miscalculated? No, Hamas leadership is uniquely, irrationally pathological? Sure, irrational pathology can explain individual violence. But it can’t explain mass, organized, orchestrated violence. That sort of action requires too much forethought, planning, and coordinated rational action to be accomplished by a group of irrational actors. If they were all totally irrational, they couldn’t cooperate and pull it off.
No, this is Occam’s razor.
And so I consider debates about Israel’s actions pointless. Israel is fighting a fake enemy as cover for the controlled demolition and genocide of an entire area and people. It’s been the playbook of colonial powers for decades.
The world is not shaped by morality, morality is what we use to explain and govern the world as it is after the powerful have used their power to shape it.
Met the first free-thinking leftist I’ve met in a very long time tonight. They do exist, and they do see most of the same problems, but they just can’t see any solutions other than collective action.
You can’t conceive of a free choice, opt-in, rules-without-rulers paradigm until you’ve discovered it yourself.
I think Dual of the Fates was the last time John Williams put his back into a score. Once he realized Lucas and Spielberg had started to phone it in, he was like “oh well then fuck all this shit” and just started having assistants imitate him

When you try to have a square vendor enable bitcoin payments, it probably helps to have a hot chick do the talking

From a technical perspective, can you picture anyone in the economy integrating stablecoin support but not Bitcoin as well?
Who in their right minds wouldn’t accept Bitcoin if a customer is willing to give it to them? And how many issuers and chains are you going to support? You’re going to support dozens of implementations? But not the one simple, clearest, stablest, most secure implementation of digital cash?
I just don’t see any but the most ideologically driven institutions adopting stablecoins but not Bitcoin.
To me that’s the real Trojan horse. You install stablecoin support thinking that’s what the customer will show up with, and you add Bitcoin support as well because it’s trivial, so why not, and then to your surprise after a couple years you realize Bitcoin is the money your customers actually prefer (Thier’s law + Metcalfe’s law). And since the rails being adopted would only move Bitcoin, not paper Bitcoin, you can’t succeed with fractional reserve (Gresham’s law).
Personally, I think stablecoins are just the final shitcoin boss. They are the gateway drug to hyperbitcoinization. They are the Trojan horse that quietly wires up the new system.
Thoughts?
