The common narrative of IMF spoiling countries doesn't apply to India. The country has gotten three loans from the fund so far. The first two didn't do much. We remained a socialist mess. The third one however, was accompanied by economic liberalisation during 1991. Tariffs were reduced, trade was liberalised, licencing requirements and other restrictions started to be progressively removed over the coming years. The country started down the path of free market capitalism, albeit only partially. The country has improved quite a bit since then on all quantitative measures of economic and human development.

I'm smirking at this, but maybe this bill is more of a statement than something concrete to be executed. Lot of dominoes are falling. 'An idea whose time has come cannot be stopped by any army or any force.'

Nostr is slowly transitioning from the 'innovators' phase to the second phase. Lightning is slowly transitioning from the 'early adopters phase' to the third phase. Bitcoin is firmly in the early majority phase. image

Pushing USD-backed Stablecoins is a new form of colonialism. If you're promoting it, you and I are not on the same side. Go fuck yourself. I live in India. It is in the Global South. So spare me your utilitarian nonsense. Bitcoin only.
