decided to install #ElementaryOS (#Linux distro) on an old laptop for the sake of testing, a friend went on for a while stating it was amazing. I have to admit it, it is awesome look and feel, Ubuntu based so is solid, played a bit, decided to update it... lost all network connectivity, NetworkManager disappeared, troubleshoot for an hour, no dice, not cool. Unistall the OS, install again, update again, sane result, lol, back to Ubuntu, but have to admit, quite nice GUI image

#### Friedrich Merz, Election Promises #### The election winner, Friedrich Merz, the leader of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), initially focused his campaign on economic issues, emphasizing Germany's economic stagnation and promising to address it. However, he shifted his strategy to include more controversial cultural and migration policies, which were influenced by the recent violent incidents and public concerns over security. Merz proposed tighter border controls and more police powers, aligning his stance more closely with the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) on migration issues. This shift was seen as an attempt to counter the AfD's anti-immigrant theme and to appeal to voters concerned about security. The CDU's campaign promises included addressing economic stagnation, tightening border controls, and increasing police powers to address security concerns. Merz's campaign also included a pledge to focus on social justice and ecological issues, adopting positions that were traditionally associated with the SPD and the Greens, respectively. Due to the fact that they will need allies to form goverment, the american uniparty comes to mind, even thought the CDU aligned some of their promises with the AfD my money is on the possibility that they lied to gain votes, deceiving the voters (what is new...), hence the policies may not change much in immigration but a lot on the financial arena, keeping an eye on the DAX this week...
