Norwegian farmer selling beef, pork and firewood for #bitcoin
Bye barn roof from the 1940s.

I keep my girlfriend supplied with organic, free range, non-medicated and non-soy fed pork meat.
She keeps me with vast amounts of delicious smoked bacon.
It’s a partnership I intend to stay in forever.

New truss ready. Originally from another building on the farm which was set up in 1907. We reuse good materials just like in the good old days.

You do indeed feel alive when you jack up a creaking barn over your head.

Started on the inside yesterday. Have to change one of the trusses, so needed a scaffold on the inside.
Thought I might as well rebuild the floor I tore down last year and be done with it. Gonna build another 400 square meters (4300 sq ft) or so after I’m finished with the roof😅
Now a few days of forest work because of snow and rain, and then we start throwing off roof tiles💪

Tried something new: Made «bacon» from the cheeks of one of our pigs.
Really tender meat, high fat ratio and easy to crisp! 10/10

Started my second roofing project since buying the farm.
It’s gonna be a few weeks of extra long days, but boy is it gonna feel great to secure this buildings survival for another 100 years or so💪

Nice hike around our own forest and lake area a few kilometers away from the farm.
This place is just pure tranquility straight into my veins.

Keeping people warm and well nourished is what I do🤝

Life hack: Take your girlfriend out in the woods to collect windfalls. Let her do the work while you watch, and still have it count as a date🤌🤌🤌

Nature has the greatest art.
Change my mind.

«Can you teach me how to fell trees with the chainsaw?»
Thats when you know you have chosen the right one.

6h on 75° C. This blade clud turned out amazing🤌🤌🤌

Finally some frost again! A good day in the woods.
We are finally finished clearing the pasture all the way up to the old stone fence!
But the fence was only used to keep the animals away from the winter feed.
Now we continue thinning out the silvopasture on the backside, which goes several hundred meters until the next stone fence.
Many years left of the most meaningful work in the world💪

Another day of hauling.
Went from -17°C to +5 in one day. Hope we get some more cold weather so we can get the rest of the logs out!
