A bitcoiner funded and produced, open-source film on the bitcoin protocol.
New video out: The Chain. Follow the growth of the bitcoin blockchain in epic film format. 🎬 ⚡️ Zap to support the project.
Today we celebrate the inception of the bitcoin chain by trying out a new distribution channel. After showing these clips in conferences, publishing on nostr, and collaborating with other bitcoiners, we're now getting this ready for the masses by also publishing on youtube. It feels bitter sweet to widen our audience and reach, while at the same time sacrificing our ethos of prioritising decentralised networks and bitcoin first applications for the distribution. We're so early, the audience isn't there yet. If you're on youtube, consider liking and subscribing! Bitcoin Blockchain up to block 836639 White and Translucent UV photo cured resin mix 3D print 212 x 66 x 65 mm #bitcoinamsterdam This resin 3D print is a model of the Bitcoin blockchain, designed based on actual Bitcoin data. The structure features a helix, with each turn representing a complete halving cycle. The spiral discs along the helix correspond to sets of 2016 blocks, which represent each difficulty adjustment period. This model effectively illustrates the key components of Bitcoin’s supply mechanism and network adjustments.
Testing wire suspension for this print of the bitcoin blockchain. This allows the viewer to inspect it up close, walk around it, and experience the record of bitcoin from their own perspective. image
Having a physical print on my hand really helps look at the blockchain of bitcoin differently. image
This test print turned out great but the overall geometry is just loosely based on real data. Preparing a new model for that will have more detail and direct proportion to the real data on the chain for a more accurate representation. image
