welp giving up on trying to stream to nostr with my own hls server. just can't do it. but I can make a web player in html directing it to my stream and play it no problem.
may start from scratch sometime later, maybe even on a debian server instead who knows

using this as a webpage to view the video but I am having no luck. port forwards all set. only this time I can't even get vlc to open it up.
Everything looks good, dont know what to do. I've tried several confs ranging from complicated to simple as fuck.

Time to get back to nerd shit. Got my physical server up and running. Now to get this nginx rtmp shit sorted.
Using this tutorial (should still work with arch) to try to get things working but no luck. I'm going to take a break and come back to it in a bit. restarting from scratch.

trying to solve "[error] 2137#2137: *1 directory index of "/var/www/html/stream/" is forbidden, client: x.x.x.x, server:, request: "GET / HTTP/1.1", host: "y.y.y.y:yyyy"" ATM
So I am able to view publicIP:port/hls/stream.m3u8 in vlc but I still can't publish publicIP:port/hls/stream.m3u8 to nostr. I'm missing something but that shits for another time. is it because http and not https?
we'll find out.
Been working on my own nginx rtmp server for live streaming. I am able to connect it to obs and watch my stream from VLC but I cannot watch it outside of my LAN.
I'll grind this until I get it working.
