Tinkering with the gamin… bitcoin full node/ Nostr station 😉 New cabinet and power supply. Fresh paste and thermal pads in the 3060 GPU Fresh paste and a new cooler on the i7-11700K CPU Building on the addition of the speakers. Podcasts, Nostr Clients, Fountain.fm in the studio.

Made some speaker stands with some black pipe n fittings. These are holding up some inexpensive Edifier MR3s that sound surprisingly good. 😌 Nice to get ‘em up to ear height and off the desktop. Think I’ll make a shelf for my PC next because I kinda like the industrial look.

She bought an old piano online just like the one she was taught to play on decades ago. It was too good of a deal to pass up. The problem was; after buying it , travelling to pick it up and bringing it home… it didn’t work. A handful of keys didn’t make noise, the speaker was distorted, the cover was stuck in the open position. She felt took. I spent the last couple of days figuring out how to fix it. I cleaned the rubber contact strip, reapplied conductive paint to the contacts. I unstuck the keys, cleaned and reassembled the works. The fuzzy speaker issue is t actually the speakers - it’s the capacitors on the amp board. Fortunately I had some amplified studio monitors to use in place of the tired output components It’s working fine - it sounds fantastic. My sweetie is gonna love playing her piano.
