Open-Source Bitcoin mining control boards like the #bitcrane is the future of #bitcoin mining. Completely open source , NO dev fees, does NOT remote connect to 3rd party servers to give you permission to mine with hardware you already paid for. Complete Open-Source Bitcoin hardware sovereignty! image

If you haven't heard about TwentyTwo portal, you're missing out on one of the most impressive and exciting projects in 100% Open Source #bitcoin hardware! There's a big difference between fully open-source hardware, partially open-source hardware, and obfuscated open source. Many projects claim to be open source, but let's face it, that's often not the case. Over the years, I've noticed what I like to call obfuscated open-source projects. They make it as obscure as possible for someone to recreate their designs while still enjoying the title "open source" and the immense honor that comes with it. Don't be fooled. There is a huge difference between fully open-source, partially open-source, and downright obfuscated open-source projects. These projects make it as hard as possible, or even impossible, to reproduce or contribute to their development. With that said, TwentyTwo is completely open source. They have detailed instructions on their GitHub repository, an amazing community, and developers who are active and helpful. In my opinion, one of the greatest honors in open-source development is when someone likes your work and forks it to collaborate, and to grow open-source designs. Open source's greatest strengths are collaboration and the sharing of knowledge. As a tribute to TwentyTwo and their amazing 100% open-source Bitcoin hardware development, I introduce The Thing fork. TheThing fork goals are to add USB-C and add easy to drop in OLED Yellow and Blue Screen TheThing fork GitHub repository:

Excited to introduce the ECOminer! ECOminer is an 100% open-source #bitcoin  miner that aims to encourage the recycling of Bitcoin mining hardware e-waste. ECOminer primarily utilizes the chassis from the S9 and the heatsink from the S19, along with any other parts that can be salvaged and recycled from both Bitcoin mining models. Project repository:

This is an example of why fully open-source Bitcoin hardware is amazing and will create an environment for accelerated development of #Bitcoin  hardware like never before. I heard aboutTwentyTwoHW from @skot9000 exactly two weeks ago, and today the portal PCB is in front of me with the parts ready to be built by hand, making for an awesome weekend build. Additionally, I want to thank JLCPCB for the awesome quality, speed of manufacturing, and shipping of these PCBs.
