Bisq users: on May 1st a protocol exploit drained ~11 BTC from altcoin trades. Fix and DAO reimbursement in progress.
Move funds out of your Bisq wallet beyond what you need for active trading.
You can find such event warnings on kycnot.me:
"We must defend our own privacy if we expect to have any. We must come together and create systems which allow anonymous transactions to take place."

KYCnot.me is very much alive :)
I know I’ve been quiet on social media (I mostly try to avoid it), but updates have never stopped.
If you want to keep up with changes:
Site updates:
The DDoS attacks have not ceased. We’re still being hit by large DDoS. 4.71B requests since yesterday around 3 PM UTC.
The attacks come in waves, they stop every now and then. If kycnot.me is slow, that’s why.
Hey everyone. I'm retaking activity on Nostr. It's been some busy months. I am working on a new update of kycnot.me taking all the user feedback I got from the Community Survey. I hope to have it ready by the end of this month:
- Better filters
- Better comments and community
- Better UI/UX
And many more...
Should services like relai.app and dfx.swiss be listed on kycnot.me?
These services allow users to buy/sell cryptocurrencies for fiat (card/transfer) without KYC under certain limits. However, using a bank account (or card) is considered "soft KYC":
While the service doesn't require a formal KYC process, the bank account used for fiat transfers is typically linked to the user's identity. This allows the bank and the provider to potentially identify the user if needed.
If listed a warning would be displayed informing the user about this issue. Also, a new attribute for services would be set up to reflect this.
This month is the 4th anniversary of kycnot.me. I wrote this blog post not to celebrate but to remind that, as a community, we must stand up against anti-privacy and anti-freedom regulations.
