Not Boring Stuffing 🍞🧀🍒🌰 Ingredient List 6 Carrots diced 1 Yellow Onion diced 5 stocks Celery diced Sprigs of Rosemary diced Sprigs of Sage diced Sprigs of Thyme diced Full bunch Parsley diced Salt & Pepper to taste 3 lbs of Stuffing Bread 2 cups vegetable stock 1 cup dried cranberries 1 cup dried apricots, golden raisins and apples blend 1 cup mixed almonds, walnuts, hazelnut & pistachios 1/2 lb gouda cheese cubed 1 stick of butter ——————————————— •Dice vegetables and herbs •Cube gouda •Saute vegetables in butter in large pot •Gently salt and pepper •Add herbs •Add dried fruit & nuts •Add stuffing bread •Lightly pour in vegetable stock over bread •Gently fold ingredients together carefully blending so as to keep bread pieces intact •Fold in gouda cheese •Fold in parsley •Coat baking dish with butter •Fill dish with stuffing mix and cover with aluminum foil •Bake at 350F for 30 minutes ( Feeds 20 servings ) ================== #foodstr #food #stuffing

Vegan Wild Rice, Lentil & Vegetable Phyllo Pockets 🥕🫛✨ Ingredient List 2 Tablespoons Vegan Butter Alternative 2 Tablespoons Coco Aminos Veggie Saute: 2 Carrots 3 Celery stock 1 Yellow Onion 1 Red Pepper 1 Jalapeno Pepper 1 Cup Cauliflower 1 Cup frozen Peas 1 Cup Sweet Potato 1 Cup Mushrooms 1 Cup Parsley 6 Dates pitted Spices: 1 Tablespoon curry powder 1 Tablespoon ras el hanout 1 1/2 teapsoon paprika Salt & Pepper to taste Rice & Lentil Mix: 1/2 Cup Lentils 1 Cup Brown Rice 1/2 Cup Wild Rice 3 Cups Vegetable Stock Pre made Phyllo Dough ——————————————— •Prepare Rice & Lentils with vegetable stock in instant pot • Finely dice all vegetables as they will be a filling for the phyllo dough •Saute onions, carrots and celery in vegan butter alternative in large pot •Add the remaining vegetables •Add liquid aminos •Saute lightly until vegetables soften and liquid disappears •Stir in spices & taste to adjust •Mix in rice and lentils •Allow to slightly cool •Melt a tablespoon of vegan butter alternative for spreading onto the phyllo dough •Scoop a heaping spoonful of filling onto the bottom of a sheet of phyllo dough •Carefully fold the sheet into triangles like a flag •Brush the melted “butter” on the dough to help seal and stick the dough together •Place on a parchment lined bake sheet •Bake at 350F until lightly brown ===================== #foodstr #food #vegan

Chocolate Orange Ganache Pie Filling 🍫🍊 3 cups heavy cream 2 tablespoons white sugar 20oz dark chocolate chunks 1 stick butter cubed 2 tablespoons orange zest ——————————————— •Pour cream & sugar into double boiler on medium high heat •Heat the cream before adding chocolate •Add chocolate and stir vigorously •Chocolate will melt and mixture will thicken •Add butter and continue to stir until silky and shiny •Stir in orange zest •Pour into pie crust •Refrigerate until ready to serve ====================== #foodstr #food #pie

Key Lime Pie Filling 🍋 2 Cups Whole Milk 1/2 Heavy Cream 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 cup white sugar 1/4 cup cornstarch 4 egg yolks 1/3 cup of fresh squeezed lime juice 1 tablespoon zest of lime 2 tablespoons room temp butter ——————————————— •Pour milk, cream, sugar & vanilla into to medium pot on low heat •Stir until sugar is dissolved •Bring to low boil •Mix corn starch with egg yolks in separate bowl •Temper cornstarch mixture by slowly stirring in a 1/2 cup of hot milk mixture •Watch milk mixture for first hints of boil and keep stirring •Once milk mixture just starts to boil, pour the tempered cornstarch mix into the milk mixture •Stir vigorously as the mixture thickens and turns into a custard •Turn off heat •Stir in butter •As mix begins to cool, vigorously stir in lime juice and zest to prevent any curdling •Pour custard into pie crust •Cover with plastic wrap to prevent a skin forming •Refrigerate until custard sets •Decorate with whipped cream at time of serving ===================== #foodstr #food #grownostr

American Apple Pie Filling 🍎🇺🇸 3 Apples cut to 1/4 inch on mandolin* (*Make more apple mix because you may not know how much you need to fill a pie) Juice of 1/2 lemon 1 Tablespoon of cornstarch per apple 1/4 cup white sugar 1 heaping tablespoon cinnamon 1/2 tablespoon ginger 1 scant teaspoon cloves 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract extract ——————————————— •Toss ingredients in bowl until evenly coated •Gently pour into pie crust •Add small chunks of butter to top •Place pie crust dough top over the Apple mix and pinch top and bottom of crust together •Add any extra flair to the top of your pie crust you like! •Refrigerate until time to bake… •Bake at 375F for an hour or until the crust shows a hint of golden brown

Basic Pie Crust 🥧 1 1/4 Cup White All Purpose Flour 10 Tablespoons butter cold, cut into small pieces 1-2 Tablespoons ice water ——————————————— •Pour flour into food processor •Add cold butter •Blend •After 1 minute, add 1/2 tablespoon of ice water at a time until dough forms a ball •Remove & form dough into ball, flatten and wrap in parchment paper •Refrigerate 1 hour before rolling out •Roll out to fit pie dish on a silpat mat •An 8” pie needs to be rolled out to a 12” circle •Place pie dish on top of dough •Flip over in one smooth move to get crust into pie dish •Shape the dough into the pie dish and pinch edges ensuring no cracks •Prick dough with fork lightly •Place parchment back on dough and fill with dry beans to act as weight •Refrigerate dough until ready to bake •Bake at 375F for approximately 20 minutes. •Let cool before filling

Ginger Cookie Pie Crust 🥧 5 Tablespoons melted butter 10oz of ginger snap cookies ——————————————— •Melt butter •Pulverize cookies in food processor •Add butter and blend evenly into cookies •Dump mixture into glass pie plate •Form crust edge first with fingers by lightly tamping mixture •Smooth out bottom of crust with backside of measuring cup or spoon •Firmly form a solid even layer in pie plate •Bake in oven for 10 minutes at 350F •Let cool

Homemade Savory Crackers 🌾 1 ¾ cup plain white flour 1 teaspoon baking powder ½ teaspoon salt 45 grams finely grated parm/cheddar 1 teaspoons black pepper ½ cup water ⅓ cup extra virgin olive oil —————————————— •Preheat oven to 230C/450F. Place 2 baking trays in oven to heat. Make the dough: •In a bowl mix flour, baking powder, salt, cheese and black pepper. •Add water and extra virgin olive oil. •Mix with a wooden spoon until the dough comes together. •Turn onto a work surface and knead gently for a minute or so until smooth. How to roll out the dough: •Cut into four pieces and run through pasta roller until long thin slabs Or •Cut into 3 portions Take one portion of dough and roll out on non stick baking paper dusting the surface with a little flour if it is sticking. Roll out very thinly. About 30cm/ 12in round. •Be sure to roll the dough very thinly to ensure it cooks quickly and becomes crispy. Brush dough lightly with extra virgin olive and sprinkle with flaky salt. How to bake: •Bake 10-12 minutes or until crispy and lightly browned. •While first cracker is baking, roll out the second and third portions of dough and repeat baking. •Allow to cool before breaking into smaller pieces and serving with cheese, dips or as a snack. Crackers are so easy and cheap to make compared to what they cost at the grocery store.

Delicious Cheap Hummus 🧆 2 Cup garbanzo beans cooked or 1 can 1/2 Cup tahini 1/4 very cold water Juice of 3-4 lemons 2 tsp curry powder 1 tsp cumin 1/2 tsp cayenne- more if you want it spicer I T honey Salt and pepper to taste ——————————————— •Blend ingredients in food processor til smooth •Add more cold water 1 Tablespoon at a time until you have reached your desired consistency. You can easily make more hummus at home for the price of a container you would buy at the store, plus it tastes way better! image
