This week, we launched another phase of financial education in our city with the "Educação Financeira Brincando" (Financial Education Through Play) classes at the Aquarela Project (@assistenciasocialpinhalense). Aimed at children, the program teaches concepts regarding money and values ​​in a simple, playful way. The initiative is supported by @My First Bitcoin , a leading international organization in financial education for children. Having already educated thousands of people worldwide, the organization recently launched the "Bitcoin for Juniors" project, specifically designed for children aged 8 to 12. Here in Santo Antônio do Pinhal, the approach mirrors the guiding principle of all Bitcoin Amantikir’s work: grassroots education—driven by the community and for the benefit of future generations.

Yesterday, I took my daughter's cell phone to be repaired at a shop in my town that I hadn't visited before (which is quite rare, given the town has only 8,000 inhabitants). Upon arrival, I met the owner, JP. We started talking about the phone, and I asked, "Can I pay in Bitcoin?" He said he didn't know what it was; he had seen other shops claiming to accept it but lacked knowledge on the subject. I explained a bit to him, and when I returned later that day to pick up the phone, his daughter was at the shop. When I started explaining Bitcoin, guess who became the most interested? Yes, the 13-year-old girl made her father pay closer attention to everything I was saying, and she was the key factor in their decision to start accepting Bitcoin. Today, we have one more shop in our town accepting sats because a young girl grasped in just a few minutes that this technology is here to stay—and that it is better to be at the forefront than to be left behind. My final takeaway: I don't know if Bitcoin is for everyone, but I can say that” Bitcoin is for all young people!” Now our city have one more place to spent sats and Amantikir have one more student, for shure.
