sometimes I have to be *very* intentional not to be an asshole...

I've been thinking about an app idea for a few days. When I pitched it to my wife during a family trip she actually liked it.
Now that I'm in front of my computer, I feel kind of scared of starting the new project. Should I pick a language I'm most familiar? Should I try something new to challenge myself? Will it worth my time? Will I be able to deliver it? Will people use it?
What about its name? Should I pick a logo? By a domain? How small should I make it to actually validate my idea before trashing the whole thing?
@Guy Swann can you share the video you watched during the AI Unchained 001? The demonstration of AI producing a full podcast based on hackernews?
Metaphor variations dilute them while giving the user a homeopatic ilusion that it is becoming stronger.
Bitcoin is a *red* pill.
But call it what you want, it's a free nostr.
Be gentle with the people around you.
You have more power and responsibility over their feelings than other people's, because the more you know a person, the more you know where it hurts.
It feels *SO GOOD* to open a PR after a few days laser-focused on a task.
Reading "The uses of pessimism" from Roger Scruton for our bookclub. I absolutely recommend it. It got me thinking about some things that might be sacred in some deep yet hard-to-define way like land ownership.

Such an amazing music-related YouTube channel:

Upgrading an "old" react-native project that is still in production is proving to be way more challenging that one would expect.
The javascript dependency tree may catch on fire with ease.
I'm using Amethyst and now that I zapped someone I can't reach the zapping configs to setup my account to receive some sats.
Any ideia what I might be doing wrong @Vitor Pamplona?
Let's say I bought a hardware walllet.
Will I store my current seed phrase into it or the actual private key? Will I be provided with a new key that will be generated by the hardware itself and I should transfer my btc to that new address?
Is it possible to check the balance for my cold wallet without typing my seed phrase into a connected device?
How does any of this work? Links accepted ๐
I made a rookie's mistake of introducing too much complexity in the new module of my system at MVP phase. Talking to a partner was super helpful to put my feet on the ground and I striped off most of it.
What's now happening is that real use cases are making the module more complex, but in a good way as it's approaching to how people really do the work.
We should talk more.
There is no greater influence on a child's life than their parents. Not the media, not the TV and not the internet. A parent only loses this battle if he decides to abstain from education, exchanging what is meaningful for what is convenient.
Can a lightning payment made to my Wallet of Satoshi be traced back to my email account?
For those running their own Lightning Nodes. Is there a reference implementation or something the community recommends or uses more?
I'm looking at the LDN from Lightning Labs but I'd like to hear some thoughts before commiting too much with any.
Be mindful of the pictures you share here on nostr. If they were taken from your phone they might contain sensible metadata, like your physical location.
This computerphile video explains what you should be aware of:
"Assume that the person you are listening to might know something you don't" is the ninth rule from Jordan Peterson's 12 Rules for Life, and I feel like I'm finally understanding a bit of what that means.
To have truly meaningful conversations is something I can only experience when I'm not just waiting for my turn to speak; the same way Tyler Durden pointed out about the help groups in Fight Club.
When someone is speaking, listen. They have a bunch to teach you.
What's with the glowing eyes in the BTC community?
