When writing a new software feature, I wish there was an easier way of jumping from "I know nothing about this" to "This is done. I'm comfortable making changes whenever is needed from now on".
I always struggle with focus on the first part.

First time I heard about Bitcoin, the price tag was at $150 per coin. I didn't pay attention to it, just saw the number going up and thinking that this "crypto thing" can only be some sort of scam.
FOMO hit eventually but not as hard as to make me buy some. I was seeing the shitcoins coming into the space, a friend talked about "iota" as being the "future bitcoin" because it was designed for the internet of things: cheap transactions, and all the buzz around its features that would "fix" bitcoin's weaknesses.
I even got a little involved in developing their electron based wallet, hoping to jump on the next rocket to-the-moon while reading about doge coin breaking the ceiling yet again. A few years pass, I was not into 'crypto' anymore but that interest popped up again when I saw NFTs and Ethereum. I started studying proof of stake and how to run code on the blockchain. Eventually I saw the "gas price" for running apps and decided that wasn't for me.
It was only after someone calling out on the whole NFT meaninglessness I started looking at Bitcoin again.
During these years I should have been humble and stacking sats. But only now I realize I jumped in at the right time, because I'm now resilient. If I had started with Bitcoin without being prepared for it, I'd have sold it with 50~100% "profit", because that was my fiat mind: comparing investments without accounting for inflation, privacy, sovereignty, and the other things we talked about.
I'm paying more per coin now than 10 years ago, but now I understand some of my mistakes. I thank God for it, who has used people like @Guy Swann , @Saifedean Ammous , @Gigi , @Lyn Alden , Jordan Peterson, and many others to open my eyes.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Boy I love
I wish they'd be here so I could zap them some sats every time I switch my JDK.

SDKMAN! is a tool for managing parallel versions of multiple Software Development Kits on most Unix based systems.
Am I the only one who gets a little anxious when send a message to someone on slack and try to type the context of the first message very fast before the person has a chance to ask what I'm talking about?
On devin(https://www.cognition-labs.com/blog) and the upcoming wave of #ai #software-engineers:
If the market trend is facilitating software development activity through AI, then we (the engineers) when focused on creating value for people could leverage these tools as allies to do so with greater speed and quality. From this perspective, having an AI software engineer becomes an opportunity for small entrepreneurs to deliver results similar to those of large companies at a fraction of the cost.
The first step is to make this shift in perspective. A significant number of us have learned to consider our job as "delivering points in the sprint," while "solving real people's problems" has been diluted among the various departments of the companies that hire us. Money was coming in, but we were taught not to worry about the source.
Changing perspective comes with a high personal cost not only because of how the industry has shaped us but also because it forces us to do what every software entrepreneur has had to do: find solutions to real people's problems.
For a while, this will exacerbate the problem of trying to solve everything with software: suddenly, a bunch of people who only know how to code will be thrust into reality and will seek to create value in whatever way they can. After the bloodbath, the survivors may become the next generation of small entrepreneurs, who will compete for a tighter space but, together with AI, will solve more problems for society as a whole.
Curious about what will be @Guy Swann 's take on it.

let me test this note after logging out and back in from Coracle on my browser
@hodlbod Just so you know, I can't post on Coracle from Brave. I *think* I have my private key added to the client but I'll still get this "private key must be ... instead of object' error.

Interesting how am I not watching or listening *anything* about that 'rabbit ai magical spy assistant' device anywhere. Does anyone know if that flopped? #ai #gadget
I'm not sure if it's because I'm aging, if it's because of #Bitcoin, or both, but I've been more and more interested in things that last long. Every time something breaks or wears out, and I think about buying a new one, I consider getting the thing that will last longer, even if the cost is significantly higher.
What a surprise... This is how wokeness affects your prompts...

yeah, nice
Hey @Umbrel ☂️ I've installed you guys on a virtual machine, after that I increased the size of the VM's hard drive but Umbrel won't recognize the extra GBs.
Any chance I get the extra Gs without having to reinstall everything?
Ty for the awesome work you guys put into this 👍
