GM everyone ☕️ I was just leaving for work this morning when I noticed a large bird in my rearview cam. I get out and it’s a hawk that notices me and flies off with something in its talons. Why is it “AI is coming for your job” instead of “AI makes doing your own home repairs affordable”? The perspective with this is all wrong. In the fiat world—where people have toiled for a century to make their minimum payments on their mounting debts—many have forgotten themselves and reduced their own identity to their trade that they are bound to: becoming an HVAC Tech named Joseph. When in actuality Joseph is still a son, husband, father, and friend to many who happens to be trained in HVAC. The irrelevance of his career can actually be more of an opportunity to do something more valuable than AI can. Technology should make life easier, that’s the point of the word.
