.@The Bitcoin Conference looks more political rally than Bitcoin conference.
It’s jam-packed with senators, presidents, candidates and what not.

Writing and photographing Bitcoin
Truly inspiring film.
Shows the power of building on Bitcoin with the same decentralised, open-to-all ethos.

The flippening.
BTC > GBP

Just been in the baker’s for a loaf. £4.
I remember a woman in there not five years ago who couldn’t believe the price.
“£2? For a LOAF?” she said.
14% annual inflation doubles the price in 5 years.
This is theft, pure and simple.
But it isn’t the baker doing the stealing.
Big moves in hard assets this month:
Gold ⬆️ 10%
Bitcoin ⬆️ 14%
What does this tell us about the world?

Stating the obvious makes headlines in fiat land.

Thank you @FREE Madeira
It’s been a blast

Pocket-picking falls to two-year low, survey by pickpockets finds.

We need power to prescribe climate policy, IPCC scientists say
Exclusive: Five IPCC report authors say scientists should be allowed to make policy prescriptions and potentially oversee implementation

The President-elect of Argentina, Javier Milei, is described in most Western media as “far right”.
Is this accurate, or is it a slur?

How will new capital effect Bitcoin’s dollar price?
"Everything Divided by Seven Million"

This riffs on some great existing work (especially from Jesse Myers and Alpha Zeta) and makes use of some valuable contributions from the likes of #[1]

Bitcoin Magazine
Everything Divided By 7 Million: Popular Bitcoin Price Heuristics Are Missing The Mark
Some of the most popular bitcoin price prediction tools are underestimating the impact of migrating capital.
My latest for #[0] is on ordinal inscriptions.
It spotlights the misleading way they are presented, falsely implying that Bitcoin itself enforces inscription ownership (it doesn’t).

Bitcoin Magazine
No, Bitcoin Ordinals Do Not Inscribe Data Onto Sats
Whether Ordinal inscriptions are good or bad for Bitcoin, misleading descriptions need to be called out.
⁃ recent gargantuan increases in money supply are still having powerful effects
⁃ interest rate rises may be ineffective, and may even have significant inflationary effects
Unsurprisingly, these obvious points are not even mentioned by the FT in their latest article analysing inflation.

Proof of walk.

The UK Parliament’s Treasury Committee is wrong to conflate Bitcoin and ‘crypto’. Here’s why for #[0]
