I find the greatest success waking others up through in-person discussions based upon methodology outlined by Larken Rose. I first appeal to their current beliefs (unless they are sociopaths)… asking questions along the lines of: 1. Would it be perfectly moral for someone to assault you right now? 2. What if they were asked to assault you? 3. What if it were a group who voted to …& they voted to only assault you if you wore that shirt you’re in today 4. What if they only demanded your wallet to avoid your getting assaulted?
