Experienced parents know this already, but holy wow, school photos are a racket. $65 for three digital downloads? I’ll buy them, obviously, but those are theme park prices.
I used to spend hours working on projects in my own time. Now I’m very lucky if I get 20-30 minutes. It makes it very hard to make progress. But still: I am making progress, however slowly.

Celebrating a major personal milestone this morning. I haven’t reached my goal, but an administrative hurdle has been overcome. That feels very good indeed.
