I have arrived on my sailboat Maranea. The first 2-3 days are usually a bootstrap process for the sailboat and the sailor. Polishing the petroleum lamps is joyful as it connects me to the sailor who lived hundreds of years ago. For me, sailing is a way of living on the water. It is an opportunity to spend meaningful time with friends and family. And it forcefully drags me out of my more stationary winter life. It could be that this account will turn into a channel, but I believe sailing is another way to connect with life. Here, nature is king, and my job is to read and align with the wind, the waves, and the crew.
