Tolerance arises from realizing that one’s view of the world is incomplete and trying to see the higher dimension that unifies the different opinions. Peace stems from understanding clearly when to engage and when to allow things to unfold without our involvement.

Sailing ⛵️ with full responsibility for boat and crew safety is an analogy to life. Curiosity embracing strange sounds and observations is how you make it. Ignoring or hiding from them will quickly create more work for you. I wished there was an easy way to let young people experience this first hand. The world would be full of creative entrepreneurs.

In the Dutch city of Franeker there lived a man, Eise Eisinga (https://www.eisinga-planetarium.nl/en/history/), who built the most elaborate planetarium of the time in his house. More and more space in his house was taken up by the gear that drove the dials in the displays in the living. The planetarium was built at the end of the 18th century and today is open to the public and well worth a visit.

I switched browsers (and extension) and managed to lose all my 350 or so follows. Looking at an empty page I hope I can restore my list tomorrow ...

I enjoyed my two days in Århus even though this stay was much too short.

There are these anchorage fields out in the North Sea along the TSS German Bight/ Terschelling West where tankers and cargo ships wait for their slot. This is possible because the water is no deeper than 30 meter.
