BREAKING More than 48,000 of the estimated 60,000 migrants who entered the Spanish enclave of Ceuta from Morocco had returned by Friday evening, according to Spain's Interior Ministry. Many individuals went back voluntarily due to a lack of food, water, and shelter after the massive border surge.

Was the incursion unforeseeable and fortuitous? Or planned and executed with malice? If it was the latter, would it be appropriate for the EU to suspend its Moroccan annual imports of some €25.5 billion? Note that the EU is by far Morocco's largest trade partner, while Morocco is the EU's 17 th. Such a suspension of imports if warranted may imho deter future malicious and unfriendly acts against the EU by other such bad actors.
