Now that the majority of the irregular migrants have returned to Morocco 🇲🇦 , the EU 🇪🇺 needs to ascertain the precise circumstances and reasons for the recent illegal incursion onto EU soil.
Was the incursion unforeseeable and fortuitous? Or planned and executed with malice?
If it was the latter, would it be appropriate for the EU to suspend its Moroccan annual imports of some €25.5 billion? Note that the EU is by far Morocco's largest trade partner, while Morocco is the EU's 17 th.
Such a suspension of imports if warranted may imho deter future malicious and unfriendly acts against the EU by other such bad actors.
