Thanks @preston and @miljan for this incredible episode on Nostr, and free speech. I have been on Nostr since September and I haven't looked back other than to create a bitcoin group on Facebook. I actually deleted all my other social apps...except for facebook. I completley agree that nostr has a more authentic feel than Twitter or Instagram. I don't feel the need nor do I catch myself doom scrolling. I appreciate you both helping me understand the nostr protocol even more in depth. Preston , nostr is also a passion project of mine. Not in the sense of development but as a user interacting with other plebs. It's been alot of fun over here on nostr. Fuck Fiat Fuck the Banks Fuck the fed. Im taking the off ramp as fast as I can sustainably go. I'm tired of these fiat chains holding me and mine back. I'm done with fiat games. Can we please for the love of God just store our value in somthing that doesn't steal from us? Look when if you don't understand the Trad-Fi space (none of us do) you don't have to be a rocket scientist to see that the purchasing power 1 fiat dollar bought last year is significantly less this year. Its as simple as that. You, me, and the whole fucking team are being stolen from...that's it! Bitcoin offers the only solution, that I can see, to that problem. With every sat you stack you take back a little bit of your purchasing power and your sovereignty back. You vote with your money, with your Proof of work, your time. Woke up early this morning went for a run on the treadmill. Adulthood is being able to open your presents two days early because my wife works today and tomorrow. We opened all our gifts from each other and let me tell you when I say I fucking love my wife. She may not be a bitcoiner, she might roll her eyes when I start talking about it, but that woman loves me and she listens. She bought me a custom Bitcoin enamel pin for the pin board she got me (I fucking live pins) and she got me a custom hat that says BYOB be your own bank. Seriously some of the coolest gifts to get from my no-coiner wife. Can we all just stop for a second and appreciate our significant others for all the shit they put up with being with us? Just finished recording episode 4 of "A plebs Take" I had the most fun so far on this one. It's titled "Nostr the social protocol" I spent this last week learning about the key pairs relays and clients that make Nostr work. I've put all that together in order to explain nostr to the newbies. I actually learned a ton about how relays communicate with clients and the clients back to the relays. Did you know that relays don't communicate with each other? I didnt. Also in diving into public/private key pairs I learned more about the nature of #Bitcoin wallets which helped me to understand the important distinction between public/private key pairs and your memonic seeds words associated with your wallet. I am really enjoying creating this show for myself and for you guys, I didn't realize I'd have so much fun in the process...i guess that's what happens when you're fascinated by the subject and deeply invested in educated yourself around it. I can't imagine anyone that's already on Nostr needs help understanding how the protocol works, so there won't be much signal for you here....however if you want to help me out I would appreciate and be willing to pay a small amount of my sats for some feedback to this episode and past episodes. I'd like to do an episode on the Nostr protocol to help explain to the normies what it is and how it can be useful to them. My main idea is to give a basic explanation of public/private key pairs (public key encryption) So the user understands how they post an event and how it's secured by their private key. I want to help listeners understand, generally how the clients and relays work within Nostr. Are there any concepts that I need to mention that might help myself and others understand the protocol better? in doing my research on this episode I've come across alot of really hard to understand articles about nostr relays and clients. While I'm starting to grasp the protocol and how it works I'd like to get some grounding in my knowledge of it. Can you recommend some good articles or people I can follow where I might get some information regarding these topics that is maybe more easily digestible? I apreciate any help in this endeavor. I certainly want to provide as much signal as possible and not confuse listeners with hard to understand ideas and logic. #Asknostr can I get a more in depth but understandable explanation of pub/private key pairs? The public key is derived from the private key and creates messages that the private key signs correct?

The sun is coming up and it's time to start the day,I always feel like I have a more productive day after a good 30-45 minute workout. Nothing to crazy just a light 3.10 miles run/walk. Somtimes its just a mile and some machines. The point is that I feel better mentally, physically, and emotionally. Trust me I've had enough bad days to put a person in a mental hospital...literally. The bad days aren't the point. It's that I'm able to overcome them. Through difficult physical exertion, the kind that leaves you dripping with sweat, I've found mental peace. I've found the clarity to see my life, to see the beauty that lies behind the shadows. Today is another beautiful day in my journey and im going to make the most of it. Had an awesome day! My lovely wife gifted me this guitar. I am blown away by its beauty it's just stunning. I've been wanting a guitar for a while now...probably a few years and she bought one! And it's a Fender, ugh I'm just so thrilled right now. My fingers are absolutley hurting but I'm excited to get to start messing around with it. I wouldn't call it playing, but I am plucking strings hahaha we will see where I go with it this next year. Once I build up some calluses I should be doing better. Maybe I could eventually do little bitcoin, nostr related melodies with some chords and strumming, for the podcast intro...idk it'll be along while before that but might be fun to do one or two.
