This is a small bug when creating a new Secret Key on iPhone. Once the user decides to generate key straight on noStrudel, the screen to select relay will be cropped. The title "Select your relays" does not appear, not possible to scroll the screen down enough. I hope it's easy to replicate this. (I'm aware users ideally should not generate their secret key in the Client but I'm trying to onboard new users as fast/smooth as possible and then teach them how to later generate keys offline)

When I click this option, there is a field for "Connect URI" and a greyed hint saying bunker://<pubkey>?relay=wss://relay.example.co and then the explanation "A bunker connect URI" I want to create a tutorial so people can use this feature, but even I don't know how this works myself. Can you please teach me the step by step? Then I will gladly share the information. I believe today noStrudel is the best Nostr client.

I think there is a common mix-up of concepts in the debate about Bitcoin's fungibility. Fungibility is different from traceability. In the Bitcoin protocol, one bitcoin is always equal to another. There is no distinction. Fungibility is an inherent characteristic of bitcoin. It is used to send and receive from one to another, just like a dollar, which is fungible. The fact that we find an exception due to individual preference (like someone not wanting to receive certain dollars that have been part of a religious or mystical ritual) does not change the fact that the dollar is fungible. However, something that confuses many people is traceability. Due to the nature of the timechain, on-chain Bitcoin transactions are traceable. This means that anyone with access to on-chain data can, if they wish, set their own criteria to accept or refuse certain bitcoins based on transaction history. But this is an individual choice from contractual freedom. The legal nature of a thing does not change even when individuals exercise the right to make contracts based on information obtained through traceability. A bitcoin remains a bitcoin, regardless of its transaction history. Here is video 03 of the Bitcoin short series. I will be happy to receive your comments and opinions to continue improving this understanding. https://video.nostr.build/bfb58b8c6ed26ece3697f32e853066808c4e7983c9cc5a7be0af526be399c0dd.mp4

Dear @blinkbtc user: I hope one day you will reach the transaction volume limit. And if you are not yet sovereign with your custody, may this be the incentive you need. THE SIMPLE ACT OF COLLECTING DATA IS DANGEROUS Let's illustrate with a silly example: Imagine if you had filmed yourself every time you got drunk, right from the first sip (ok, assuming you were once a teenager who did a lot of silly things. If you've never drunk, substitute it with anything you wouldn't like to see circulating publicly). Those videos would be quite embarrassing if shared, right? The best way to avoid that is simply NOT TO FILM. Even if you try to protect the videos, even if a constitutional amendment guarantees that it's unlawful to try and access those compromising videos... the risk of them leaking later is still greater than if you had never filmed them in the first place. Well, this directly relates to the new technology for tracking our carbon footprint. They want to measure everything: how and where we travel, what we eat, what we buy. You think that might be useful? But think about this: such data is like those embarrassing videos. Once they are collected, they exist. And if they exist, there will always be the risk of someone, at some point, accessing them. And using them in a quite unexpected context. I'll leave it to you guys to comment on what the possible problems are. A love letter. About 25 years ago, the Internet was really, really cool. It was a cradle of ideas. Any kid could play around, remix, and create things... and it might turn out to be a big success. But then gradually, some boxes started to appear. Friendster and Orkut had a whole universe of information just for those who had an account. Years later, Facebook did the same thing. Now, there's no grassroots innovation. Good luck to a little kid trying to create something new. No one will see it. Everyone spends all their time on Big Tech apps. To have a chance on the internet today, you need venture capital and spend years burning millions in the red. A bizarre economic model from the fiat world. Look at the average person. They spend a lot of time online doing what? WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Zoom, TikTok. They really BELIEVE THAT THIS IS THE INTERNET!!! And then they go to sleep to repeat the same thing the next day. The average user doesn't realize that these are CLOSED apps. You can't do anything creative/interesting in them except follow the exact commands that the overlords have set by architecture for THEIR interests. (Go on, click like! React to this rage bait, fight among yourselves, stay as long as possible in the app to swallow as many ads as possible) Nostr makes the internet fun again. Anyone can take the protocol and invent whatever they want. Think it's silly that certain influencers are "recommended" by the client? You don't have to use that client. There's another Nostr client that doesn't keep pushing suggestions of who to follow. Annoyed that your feed has a lot of memes? Make a fork and set a rule that you don't want to see Notes that are purely a URL (which indicates someone sharing an image). image THE WORLD IS YOURS Thank you nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6 - who gave us this gift nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s - who is brave and ethical fighting Apple App Store crazy demands and resisting shitcoinery offers on daily basis nostr:npub1wyuh3scfgzqmxn709a2fzuemps389rxnk7nfgege6s847zze3tuqfl87ez - I love your client nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m - who did a valuable POWER-UP that made the whole difference nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm - such powerful tool and at the same time encouraging all users to go through the learning curve and fly by themselves eventually with their own wings/server (just loved reading your interaction with nostr:npub1h8nk2346qezka5cpm8jjh3yl5j88pf4ly2ptu7s6uu55wcfqy0wq36rpev and how you encourage us to plug our nodes at a given point but keep using the extension) and all community members who are here participating in this glorious moment after two decades of proprietary Internet darkness. Nostr today has a vibe similar to the Internet in the late 1990s. Lots of interesting things popping up every day. Enthusiastic and open people, you can basically talk to anyone, and they respond to you. "Anyone not using Nostr is crazy" - Seiiti Arata, January 18, 2024.

🐰🎩 - Revealing a bit of the didactic approach I use Imagine that I want to talk about something I consider important but has many technical aspects, like the risks of CBDCs. First and foremost, I like to think about the person who will be listening to me. Will they be interested, or will they find it boring? For those who have no prior experience with the topic, it may be excessive to start speaking directly. The problem with dumping a bunch of technical subject matter is that it can make it seem like it's: -boring (doesn't seem relevant or interesting), -complicated (doesn't make sense, hard to understand, terms defined that haven't been explained), or -gibberish (the reaction is "wow, what you're saying is crazy talk, man" without the person even understanding). To facilitate communication, one way is to start by talking about something they already understand. Put them in an imaginary situation. Show them things they can verify (e.g., serial numbers on banknotes, as shown in the video below), and then finally touch on the topic I want to address (the risks of CBDCs). Let me know what you think of this teaching method. If you have other examples or approaches to share, I appreciate it. Let's learn and improve together. https://video.nostr.build/5fbe4685c849675fbf38bae6a89b732cd4123324affa81aad08d053d5ba327bb.mp4

Someone recommended me https://0xchat.com/#/ for secure chat on Nostr, but I'm not so sure. Wouldn't it just increase attack surface to add the private key in one extra place? If clients such as nostr:npub1wyuh3scfgzqmxn709a2fzuemps389rxnk7nfgege6s847zze3tuqfl87ez nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg can use Alby / flamingo / nos2x and also have Messages?

hi nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s when I am using nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 on iPhone and then click a nostr:naddrxxxxxx link in a Note, there is a pop-up asking me to open ZBD. Is there anything I can change on my settings to avoid this and keep browsing in Damus? Thanks!
