The Odyssey looks like utter shit. Nolan has always been an overrated hack surviving on filmmaking gimmicks and great actors elevating his clunky and nonsensical dialog. I’m glad even the normies are tearing apart the casting choices in his latest project. He caved to the Hollywood DEI gods and compromised what could’ve been THE adaptation of the Odyssey. The rot finally makes its way to the surface.

Anybody here enjoy pen and paper tabletop RPGs? I’ve been into the Witcher RPG a lot lately. The punishing and tactical combat combined with the heavy focus on backstory and relationships makes the game feel more grounded and realistic. You don’t just run around murdering monsters and bandits. You develop relationships and a sense of community while a war is waging in the background. The “classes” are called Professions so you have a job and a role in this dangerous world. You’re not a hero. The vulnerability makes the victories and relationships earned.
