Good morning people! We have had a nice garden run this morning. The tiny green watermelon was a nice little surprise. We were way late to plant them and the vine was so tiny and lost under all the tomatoes that we did not expect to see anything come of it. We somehow still managed to get one. We have updated our energy setup. Now we have almost double the capacity than a week ago. All of the construction in our place has been supported by the old system but last week with fixing the floor, we had a bit of a struggle so hopefully the new setup will help. #offgrid #solar #homestead

The floor is done people and finally we have a little more space for our little one who is always moving around. The windowsill has been replaced. What a beautiful morning it has been! The flowers adorn our land and the soil gifts us bounties. We harvested our potatoes today. Three months ago, we planted about 15 potatoes and now we got about 15 kilos back. Our neighbours are not impressed (😅) as they produce enough for the whole year. But we are ecstatic. The main reason I learned how to make cold process soap was for our homestead. We want to use the grey water from our home to go the garden so we needed products that were not only biodegradable but also biocompatible. For the last three months, our grey water has fed the garden and the garden has loved it. We were out of our cleaning soaps so this is the first batch weade here. Now it needs to cure for a month and we have our own multipurpose cleaning and washing soap again.
