Do people here really paste their private keys into new apps to try them out?
This seems incredibly naive and risky, exposing your entire nostr identity to unknown parties / endpoints…

I am desperate, therefore I am calling for #help here on nostr.
I need a new monitor that I will use 90% connected to a MacBook via Thunderbolt/USB-C and 10% connected to a desktop gaming PC via DP.
I currently have a Samsung Odyssey G9 49" and I absolutely hate it.
Here are my criteria:
- must have at least 4K resolution
- must work somewhat well with macOS resolution scaling (for looking at code all day)
- ideally >120Hz
- ideally a single USB-C cable running from the MacBook to the monitor
- must not be a Samsung
- must not be ultra-wide
The Apple Studio Display is not an option because I cannot use it with my desktop.
Any help or suggestions are highly appreciated! Thank you!

Nostr feels like the “dark side” social network
For better or for worse…
I have to say that I really like the minimalistic technical aspect of Nostr (as a geek, admittedly). No signups. No server instance to pick. Protocol looks very simple too.
I don’t get how NIP-05 verifies anything if you don’t use a namespace / domain that you control.
