In the end no one will sell you what you need
You can't buy it off the shelf
You got to grow it from the seed

Direct realist, individualist, libertarian, dove. Trying to overcome my biases.
You know how to let go
When I can stand on my own
Don't let go now
My favorite #LoneJustice song. You will hear from #MariaMcKee again today.

Over futile odds
And laughed at by the gods

I'm crazy for thinking that my love could hold you
I'm crazy for trying and crazy for crying
And I'm crazy for loving you

You talk to loners
You ask, “How’s your week?”
You give love to all
And give love to me
This is my favorite song from Zero 7 and Sia. It’s just an unironic declaration of love.

Oof, this movie is rough to watch. If you’re going to marry a cabaret singer, you should discuss her future career plans before you do, and you shouldn’t be afraid to say no to her.

#AnitaPage , ideal film actress? This was (I think) a joke prepared by MGM house photographer Ruth Harriet Louise in 1928.

I have worked for a company that considered “velocity” to be the most important measurement of individual performance. Their code was awful.

“There's no question that, as AI has surged in popularity, we have entered an era where code lines are being added faster than ever before. The better question for 2024: who's on the hook to clean up the mess afterward?”

Baby Face (Alfred E. Green, 1933).
#BarbaraStanwyck plays Lily Powers, a young woman who works for her father Nick in an Erie, Pennsylvania speakeasy. Nick has been forcing her to have sex with the customers. After one customer introduces her to Nietzsche (specifically, Will to Power), Lily decides to use sex to get what *she* wants. She moves to New York City and immediately sleeps with a clerk in a bank’s personnel office to get a job. Then she proceeds to sleep with a chain of bosses to gain promotions, discarding each man when she’s through with him. (At one point, she even deliberately sabotages an engagement.) Lily’s plan works well . . . until one man refuses to be dumped, at which point the story takes a turn. This movie is a classic of #precode Hollywood.
