Walking thru city streets of a town i lived in 10 years ago brings back memories I didn't know I had.
It's like walking into sections of my brain. I must have outsourced them to the locations of the bus stops and the cafes.

Are there alternative treatments for MS?
Someone tells me they were diagnosed with the disease, apparent from rapid optical nerve loss.
They are currently scheduled to have a biannial injection to wipe out the immune system until the thing hopefully doesn't come back.
I wonder what some "bitcoiner" methods would be...

i'm in a frontier town where a starbucks just opened...
the gal at the register so sweet and remembers my name--it always takes me aback when the cashier remembers my name.
she looks like katy perry. and then i realize she probably thinks of Katy Perry like i used to think of Madonna-- someone who was singing before i was born.
and then she asked me what i'm up to.
it took me some reflection to realize she probably thinks me of one of her dad's friends or an uncle. i'll take it.
and then she brings the coffee out and sets it on my table.
hah sweet thing, i'm old, but i also don't deserve that. i guess this is what elders feel like when the"Respect for elders" was a thing.
starbucks in a frontier town--i feel like first class.

"a soldier with PTSD exposed to this sound of bee wings gets better over time"
it also may explain formation of the hexagons of the honeycombs....
does anyone know why the Salem witch trials happened?
from what i gather:
a young (apparently charismatic) preacher moved to New England from England. he riled people up against "witches"
his daughter and her friends started accusing people of being witches. if those people didn't confess and rat out their co-conspirators, they were put on trial.
this process ended up killing an 80 year old Rebecca Nurse who wasn't putting up with this nonsense about witches.

what were these really about?
was this a form of color revolution from the crown to destabilize the colonies?
was it a simple land grab of old money by up-and-coming money?
were there real witches consorting with he-who-must-not-be-named?
was it a localized insanity?
was it the government or the church doing this? was it pre-separation of church and state?

the explanation that i heard is:
fundamental christian pastor avails himself of systemic sexismto further persecute women

i'm very curious because "new-in-town" people don't generally wield that much influence. so i'm really wondering what was going on back in the day...
