Topped up my wallet! Let's get zapping! 🥳 I submitted my university pre-production work today and I'm so excited! Everything went really well and I'm happy with the amount of concept art I provided the team with. Happy days! Now, I have to do research for Chaos Cloth simulations as the dress that the character is wearing is long and will need extra animations to make it work nicely. Here is the character in case I haven't shared it before 🤎 I put the exploration phase too as the last photo. The character represents life itself. She's an alchemist, who will be controlling roots and herbs to make her potions. Her name is Hypatia, named after the famous Alchemist in ancient Egypt. The game will have another alchemist who represents death. He will be controlling items like mud and bones to make his potions. His name is Cedric and together they create balance. Yin Yang in order to summon different characters in the game. I'll share more about the game and the mechanics when I have something to show you.. for now, these are our concepts for the main characters. #gamedev #conceptart #artstr

My monstera doesn't look anything like that anymore and I'm devastated. I learnt a lot of lessons from it, but it doesn't make it any easier. I'm down to 1 leaf and I hope it will make it 🤞🏼 Biggest lesson is about roots. Depending on the size of the roots, your pot needs to be just an inch bigger. I've been working on a few things these past couple of weeks apart from writing essays 🙄 Finally I'm on my last year of university as a 3D games artist undergraduate. I really thought when I applied to enter, that I'll be doing loads of 3D practice and game implementation, but the reality is that 2D sketches are interchangeable with my 3D work. In order to see something come to completion, it truly takes a long time of researching, making moodboards, sketching, colour palettes, iterations of the work and sketching some more! 🙃 We're talking at least 1 month goes into the ideation and pre-production stage. A YEAR! The art piece that took me a bit over a year to complete. I started this commission piece on September 4th, last year. Can you believe it? University took over and an art block that left me looking at it with no direction. Finally, last month I picked it back up as I had an idea on how to bring it to completion and voilà! It's finally here with all its glory! Meet Minnie! She lives in Germany with her pawrents and a little kid. Sometimes she gets scared of the little one and hides.
