I chose to play a different game…
“What an astonishing thing a book is. It's a flat object made from a tree with flexible parts on which are imprinted lots of funny dark squiggles. But one glance at it and you're inside the mind of another person, maybe somebody dead for thousands of years. Across the millennia, an author is speaking clearly and silently inside your head, directly to you. Writing is perhaps the greatest of human inventions, binding together people who never knew each other, citizens of distant epochs. Books break the shackles of time. A book is proof that humans are capable of working magic."
— Carl Sagan, Cosmos
After another intense, hard but also lovely week spent with family and friends I’ve come to the conclusion that I should just focus on my own life, make the most of my time, and let others live as they choose. This might be a better path to a longer and more satisfying life than trying to get others to understand money.
Live by example. 🧡🙏
Home, sweet home! Long week travelling with my little one to see family and friends, exhausted and we both have a nasty cold (first one in years!) but it’s so good to be home under the apple trees! 🙏
“When one has once fully entered the realm of love, the world — no matter how imperfect — becomes rich and beautiful, it consists solely of opportunities for love.”
— Søren Kierkegaard
Falling in love with it all.
GN! ♥️✨
“To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything, and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket—safe, dark, motionless, airless—it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable."
— C. S. Lewis
