When you were 15 and looked back at yourself age 10, you were rebuilding those memories through your then-current lens. Now, when you look back at 15, you’re reconstructing a reconstruction. Each version of you leaves fingerprints on the memory. Each time you recall the moment, you edit the file. Right now…this exact moment…is the only unedited, direct slice of reality you will ever experience. Everything else is a memory (edited), or a projection (imagined).

Light hits your eyes but your brain decides what you “see.”

Genetics, environment, nutrition, trauma, and stimulation all influence how our brains evolve. No two of us are alike. We are alone in our reality, together. You’re a universe. I’m a universe. We can never fully visit each other’s worlds, but we can send messages across the stars. Sometimes those messages land, and spark something. That’s what art is. What music is. What love is. How should Men provide? Direction - a vision, purpose, a mission. Protection - not just from violence, but from chaos, financial ruin, emotional storms. Provision - not just money, but energy, time, skills, and service. Presence - emotional engagement, mentorship, love, guidance. Initiation - the courage to do hard things, and teach others to do the same.
