Probably my last significant cucumber harvest of the season. Most of these aren't as green as my prior cucumbers. I waited a little longer to harvest and the summer sun is now on. Hopefully the dehydrated cucumber chips will still taste great. #mittleider #garden #grownostr

In my #mittleider #gardening, the weight of the cucumber plants lead to some vertical support wires between the t-posts snapping. Also, notice the effect of the afternoon sun on some of the plants. Fortunately, they recovered by evening, I think due to extra water, though I may need to add some shading. #grownostr

I got these berry bushes somewhat contained. Before, it was hard to get around them to spray and water. They still may grow taller than I expected. #gardening #grownostr

These are the largest cucumbers I've harvested, maybe 1.5 times larger than some others I've harvested and eaten. And larger than what some others have said to be tasty. The others tasted fine but I also dehydrated them and added some seasoning. Now that I've had some success with my #mittleider #gardening I'm reflecting on lessons learned. From the first picture, my cucumbers plants were mostly on the left row and part of the middle row. From the later picture, you can see they dominate the garden. I'll probably be eating cucumber for several months. 1. I'll probably just plant one row of cucumber in my next garden 2. The green beans were the row on the right. I didn't encourage vertical growth for them. I think if I'd done that, I could have doubled my green bean harvest.
