I adore how freely people express their ideas on Nostr. But every now and then I see comments like “superior white genes” and remember there are special kinds of retards here too.

Not enough Bitcoiners are adversarial thinking. Did we really think just because it's unhackable and decentralized that nobody has been attempting to infiltrate, coerce, and influence it?

Using ad-driven services through a desktop browser still makes the web tolerable. Equiped with uBlock Origin, productivity and privacy extensions you can still feel in control. The browser layer is a sandbox allowing the user to tailor how a site is delivered and consumed. Use those same services through their apps and the contrast hits like a bus. Endless permission requests, background data collection, and of course, ads. Ever growing, invasive ads everywhere. This is why the same services on a mobile browser is completely unusable by design. Massive banners and popups forcing you to download download their apps so they can monetize and harvest your data. The same service intentionally throttled and left buggy to manipulate you right into their laps. Nostr fixes all these broken incentives.
