I've made it through 6 hours of editing for my next album. This is from two days of recording in August. These were group recordings, now I have the solo instruments to listen through which is about 3 hours. Then I have my own parts, about 3 hours. Finally the vocal parts another 3 hours. Then I need to put them all together, while constantly thinning down the mix. I'm certain when it done it will be more than a little original. It's a good thing I love this. The edits are ruthless, shooting from the hip. It's a bit like chiseling a stone for a statue. I find that if I second guess myself the project will take a decade. Today my eldest and I crested this bushe de noel. About 4.5 hours for everything involved. It's one of our annual holiday activities that, and will be bringing it to a large dinner party tonight. IJust #rescued these #redwoods from the brambles. The three of them were planted about 5 years ago. I think this coming year will be the year that they get above the brambles. This area long ago was a home to redwoods, and these are part of a reforestation project to which around 200 #trees have been planted in the past 5 years.
