Should I create a new browser by forking Firefox or Chromium? The core idea is to provide users with a key pair that syncs existing browser data like saved passwords, browsing history, and open tabs
This would allow us to directly integrate NIP-07 (nostr.window) capabilities into the browser. We could also include a Bitcoin (Lightning) wallet, even if it's just interfacing with users' existing wallets. From there, we can continue adding key-based features that users need, be it Pkarr DNS resolution, Web5 support, and Pubky integration
We could also fork Proton Drive + Docs + Calendar, but replace email + password authentication to their servers with key-based E2EE user generated data. Some private communications tool could also be built directly into the browser using something like the protocols used by SimpleX
I believe that once we get private keys into the hands of many users, it won't matter which protocol(s) ultimately succeed - we'll already be on the right path and will have taken the crucial first steps
Tell me how dumb this idea is

Anyone in need of developing traditional web or mobile applications, let me know. I have a bunch of designers and devs with me that can get it done
We charge at a rate of 250 INR (3 USD) per hour for our service
30% off, if paid in Bitcoin
(Just a few of us are Bitcoiners though, and I won't be doing development full time, so Bitcoin or nostr related projects might take longer than your traditional apps)
Bitcoin is both the best and worst thing about nostr
Is there any reason you would want to sign encrypted data, or encrypt signed data? We encrypt data to put them inside signed JSON in nostr because it was not supposed to be for private coms when it was initially designed
But otherwise I can't think of a reason you would want it, nostr should have probably had two kinds of events since the beginning
Not as bullish on nostr anymore

JOURNAL ENTRY (Jun 17, 2024)
Went to a new bitcoin hub that's being created in Bangalore. It's a co-working space for Bitcoiners and I can already see the result of putting a bunch of Bitcoiners in the same place, I'll be mostly working from there from now on
As I lay on a bed, trying to sleep at 3:15 am, life feels completely surreal. In the last two decades, I went from not knowing what computers or the Internet was, to worrying about a dockerfile not compiling an app properly
Existence is way too absurd to be real, yet it is
JOURNAL ENTRY (Jun 16, 2024)
Missed a few updates, but I'm back again.
- Work:
Tested the latest releases of Bitkit and Foundation Envoy for reproducibility. Need to check a few more things before giving a verdict.
- Other stuff:
Last few days have been really interesting. But most of the things that have happened are deeply personal so won't make sense to write on nostr. Mostly been thinking about and working on relationships, boundaries, responsibilities etc with the people that I am close to and defining my definitions of right and wrong to be more clear to me than ever.
this is what you should code to
nostr the free screech protocol
JOURNAL ENTRY (Jun 12, 2024)
Got some personal work done. Did nothing work related. Wanted to skip writing this entry real bad, but then what is the point of doing this if I only highlight my good days
Recently I have been thinking a lot about the role of religion on society and the individual's life. Also watching some philosophy related videos whenever I get free time
Listened to this narration by Alan Watts today
I had internalized the fact that I am the universe itself and not a separate entity long ago. But only after reading and listening to Watts recently, I came to realize that what constitutes that "I" is itself a very interesting question
JOURNAL ENTRY (Jun 11, 2024)
Woke up kinda confused. Got some work done related to WalletScrutiny. But mostly spent my time in some type of mental fog. Not having mental clarity has been a problem lately, probably related to my diet? Hopefully tomorrow is a better day.
JOURNAL ENTRY (Jun 10, 2024)
This is the first post of this public journal that I will be maintaining via Nostr. I will be sharing things that I read or watched, work that I did, and everything else that I'm comfortable making public. I don't know why you would find it interesting, but I'll be posting it nonetheless.
It's June 11th here already, but this entry is for June 10th.
Had a really bad stomach issue this morning. Couldn't sleep well last night, probably because of the same problem. I was at a friend's place, rushed back home, and slept most of the day. Managed to get some work done after dinner.
- Work:
WalletScrutiny:
1. I tried building the Envoy app by Foundation yesterday but failed to do so. Created an issue in their repo about it:

Learned a bit about HTMX:

Anyone working on a nostr client that doesn't show the newest posts first, but instead starts with the oldest posts that you haven't yet seen?
I like reading certain WhatsApp and Telegram group chats without saying anything, and would prefer that same experience for my nostr feeds
