The Guru's Grace (spiritual teacher) is both external and internal. From the outside, he pushes the mind inwards, and from the inside he pulls the mind towards the Self and helps it keep quiet. That is the grace. There is no difference between God, guru and Self. A guru's help is necessary and useful to start you on the inquiry, but you yourself must pursue it.

Don't be self-centered. Rather be centered in the Self. The greatest accomplishment is when there is no one here to accomplish anything at all. #Mooji image

How beautiful and rare to find one who is free of projections, desires and needs-one who is no longer driven by the urge to control, possess or become anything. Mind comes to a beautiful place of openness, silence, peace and rest. Such a state can never be created; it is revealed when the tendency to identify with personal projections ceases and mind returns to its original nature-unborn Awareness. #Mooji image

I see everyone as I am. This being is the combination of the parents. All are engrossed in concepts, they enjoy them. By developing these concepts, you will not come out of it at all. First understand what is circumstantial and what is real. You are the product of the concepts of your parents, are you not? #SriNisargadattaMaharaj

You are not the body. You are the immensity and infinity of consciousness. Don't assume what is not true and you will see things as I see them. Pain and pleasure, good and bad, right and wrong: these are relative terms and must not be taken absolutely. They are limited and temporary. #SriNisargadattaMaharaj

"Life always gives us exactly the teacher we need at every moment. This includes every mosquito, every misfortune, every red light, every traffic jam, every obnoxious supervisor (or employee), every illness, every loss, every moment of joy or depression, every addiction, every piece of garbage, every breath. Every moment is the guru." #CharlotteJokoBeck

What is Self-Realisation? A mere phrase. People expect some miracle to happen, something to drop from Heaven in a flash. It is nothing of the sort. Only the notion that you are the body, that you are this or that, will go, and you remain as you are. Indeed, Realisation is but another name for the Self. #SriRamanaMaharshi

WHAT IS THE NATURE OF THE MIND What is called 'mind' is a wondrous power residing in the Self. It causes all thoughts to arise. Apart from thoughts, there is no such thing as mind. Therefore, thought is the nature of mind. Apart from thoughts, there is no independent entity called the world. In deep sleep there are no thoughts, and there is no world. In the states of waking and dream, there are thoughts, and there is a world also. Just as the spider emits the thread (of the web) out of itself and again withdraws it into itself, likewise the mind projects the world out of itself and again resolves it into itself. When the mind comes out of the Self, the world appears. Therefore, when the world appears (to be real), the Self does not appear; and when the Self appears (shines) the world does not appear. When one persistently inquires into the nature of the mind, the mind will end leaving the Self (as the residue). What is referred to as the Self is the Atman. The mind always exists only in dependence on something gross; it cannot stay alone. It is the mind that is called the subtle body or the soul (jiva) #SriRamanaMaharshi image

There's something within you that knows what to do. There is a power greater than you that knows how to take care of you without your help. All you've got to do is to surrender to it. Surrender your thoughts, your mind, your ego, to the current that knows the way. It will take care of you. It will take better care of you than you can ever imagine. #RobertAdams image

Change no one. Change nothing. React to no one, react to nothing. Do not live in the past and do not, worry about the future. Stay in the eternal now, where all is well. After all you are me and I am you. There's no difference. Do not react to the world. Do not even react to your own body. Do not even react to your own thoughts. Learn to become the witness. Learn to be quiet. #RobertAdams image

The Original Mind Is Beyond All Thought" Do not hate the origin of thoughts or stop thoughts from arising; simply realize that our original mind, from the very beginning, is beyond all thought, so that no matter what happens, you never get involved with the thoughts. It enlightens the original mind, and no other understanding is needed. However, if you get attached [to] the desire for enlightenment, then it will become a source of illusion. the original mind is beyond all thought, and do not become in the least attached to your nascent thoughts, be it good or evil, Buddhism or worldly matters, your affairs or others, whatever they may be, let them arise or cease as they will., and so you will naturally accept the original mind. Thoughts arise temporarily in response to what is seen and heard; you must have faith that the original mind that is realized is not different." #Bankei
