My wildest dream today is to have a clear path to building a Nostr related gig that generates $2,500 USD per month (the government will take a third of it). That would be enough to quit my job.
I have a couple of vacation days, and I'm going to give 100% of my time to Ghostr over the next 10 days. I need a path. Let's roll the dice and see if the universe conspires in my favor.

Building Ghostr
Notes (9)
The last couple of months, I have been struggling with my mental health. So much has been going on. My fiat job has become unbearable for me—it doesn't fulfill my life's purpose. My financial situation is also not good, and my physical health has become a reflection of this unhappiness.
Brazilian politics also play a role. There is no clear path forward for the country. We live under a de facto judicial dictatorship. I have dual Brazilian and EU citizenship, but I never really thought about using it. Maybe this is the time? I don't know.
Having to code for my fiat job instead of Nostr is killing me. I have so many ideas in so many different areas. For almost two years, I avoided diving into Nostr details because I knew that once I started to grasp some of the specifications, my autistic mind would get hooked. Well, it happened—and now I'm screwed.
I never watch TV or Netflix.
I got a random sitcom to watch on Netflix
--- This character is hilarious! Who is the actor?
--- Holy shit, he is a convicted rapist serving 30 years in prison
Hey, nostr:nprofile1qqsfnz2sqsflkatdssmeztxr90s8xrd7r07xkhfwaa6eu9zkcguljpgpz4mhxue69uhkummnw3ezu7rdwgh8ymmrddesz9thwden5te0wfjkccte9ekk7um5wgh8qatzqyv8wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnndehhyapwwdhkx6tpdskdh679, how difficult would be for you guys run a onion service? Just asking for a friend...
Brazilians typing 'kkk' (with no upper limit on the number of 'k's) are not referring to Ku Klux Klan, guys
The beautiful thing about Nostr is that even when clients compete with each other, as long as each one brings in new users, everyone wins. And if someone is doing a better job than you in a certain area, you can focus more on the features that set you apart.
Peter Thiel says competition is for losers. Naval talks about escaping competition through authenticity. I tend to agree with both.
My vision for Ghostr is ambitious—very ambitious. Right now, the first version is just a clunky, amateur TikTok clone, but that’s a start. If I have the time and the health to see it through, Ghostr will evolve into a space that explores certain forms of social interaction—ones that have existed for as long as humans have but are becoming increasingly rare.
As our lives and consciousness move deeper into cyberspace, and even our physical spaces are constantly recorded, something is being lost.
I love the internet. It has slashed the cost of information distribution by orders of magnitude. But in a hyperconnected world with an unforgiving memory—where everything is recorded—society begins to expect you to act inhumanly.
They say that if you are not extremely ashamed of your first app version you didn't ship fast enough. Fair enough: here is the v.
