Duck's just this guy, you know?

Notes (20)

I want a cbr reader that can use on-device AI to do that fancy zoom in on each of the sections of a comic intelligently for comics not bought through kindle and similar.

Granted it may be "through a different lens", but does Duckman occupy the same universe as Bojack Horseman?

Non-monogamous Klingons never invoke a OPP.

That narrow window where your parents have left behind a ton of digital pictures but the AI categorization tools are not yet at the point where they can hide the pics that you really don't want to be seeing.

The thing about the collectible market for cats is, you're quite likely to find them still in their boxes.

I always find it odd when people post "thanks for the add" when they've joined a group. It's not like they recruited you from the minor leagues and have finally decided to give you your shot. You requested to be added and someone on the moderator team hit "approve"

When you're listening to an old Henry Rollins spoken word album (part of my recently recovered mp3 collection) where he's talking about getting older and you realize he was 2 years younger than you are now.

You know, if I just so happened to discover a substance that would allow me to literally eat ghosts, I'd bet the ghosts would be pretty keen to stop me as well.

I wonder how many women chose the bear because they thought that porridge might be involved? While it can't be that many, surely it's more than 0.

My torrent of all the Loony Tunes has finally finished, so now I'm watching shorts from 1943. The first one I put on was an all-blackface version of Snow White.

Downloading my Google Takeout because years ago I uploaded a bunch of mp3's to Google Music which I've since lost to various hard drive failures over the years. Now I'm trying to get them all back a zipped 2GB at a time.

I removed my postgres database that I was going to use because I was having issues with the storage in the vm i was running (syncing the blockchain in 1tb will do that to you) and had to increase the size. Now that I'm trying to put it back, it's failing because bitnami decided to lock their images behind a paywall. Now I'm going to have to go shopping around for a new chart. (just swapping the image didn't cut it and I want something more minimal anyway) I'm tempted to just do away with helm altogether and just define everything in nix.

Whenever an image of John Cena is posted online, you know exactly what everybody will be commenting. Some people are so transparent

TIL that sliced bread was originally described as the greatest thing since bread was wrapped. So now you know.

Vampires in the future will have had to have gone through all of the celebrity deaths, constantly. Watching your friends and loved ones pass away would suck, obviously, but there that extra little bit of gossip you hear as you're stalking the corridors of the space station at night that that one child actor you liked that was in that one thing has just passed away of old age that really twists the stake in your heart which doesn't even work anymore because there is no more wood.

Due to its close proximity to current technological capabilities. an advanced robot that malfunctions and thinks it's sentient isn't as fantastical as it once was. For that reason, it's unlikely we'll ever see a reboot / sequel to Short Circuit.

Time spent waiting for systemd targets to restart on a machine you're about to reboot is time you will never get back.
