Throwback to BTC Prague 2024 🇨🇿
(Yes, it’s 2025, but I’m revisiting the Bitcoin moments that shaped my journey.)
My Bitcoin Standard Era kicked off in March 2022, when a close friend asked me to swap EUR for BTC, peer to peer. I trusted the judgment of two brilliant friends already into Bitcoin, so I said yes. Just like that, I held my first BTC ⚡
With some BTC in my pocket, I listened to Lex Fridman’s interview with Michael Saylor during a 3-hour drive 🚗. I was hooked. He resonated like a science teacher I used to love.
From that day forward, I studied Bitcoin daily, hours of Saylor’s insights, books, podcasts, and even Khan Academy’s Macroeconomics course (99% proficiency after six months). I wanted to understand money from first principles.
Before Bitcoin, money was a fuzzy concept to me. Now, I see learning to speak money as vital as learning English 💬💸
In 2024, I set a goal to meet Michael Saylor at BTC Prague, my first BTC conference. Mission accomplished. I told him Saylor Academy’s content is stellar, but the UI/UX needs a serious upgrade. We exchanged a few words, partial success ✅
Bitcoin has turned out to be the best financial decision I’ve ever made. It’s productive, ethical, neutral, and global 🌍.
Despite its volatility, and even as someone naturally risk-averse, I’m convinced it’s the least risky asset long-term.
Because when it dips, it’s engineered to recover… and climb higher.
More than a decade ago, I saw e-commerce as the biggest opportunity 🛒.
Today, I have no doubt, Bitcoin is 🚀
