Here’s the removable panel for the shutoffs. I needed about 3” of clearance for the hoses and plug so I made 1.5” blocks for the wall and the back of the panel then inset magnets so everything snaps and stays in places. #grownost #diy #woodworking

I think I’ve #orangepilled my brother in law. I’ve talked with him on some car rides about our financial system and about the foundation of #bitcoin and some of the problems it solves, and this morning he reached out and asked for some resources to start learning about BTC. I suggested he start with the saylor series as I think understanding the evolution of money is what allows you to see the true value in bitcoin. This made me wonder what other people would suggest to someone looking to learn. So I’d like to #asknostr what direction would you have pointed my BIL had you been in my place? Also is Robert Breedlove or Saylor on here???

Anyone have recommendations for videos or articles for why and how to setup lighting nodes? I’m all setup with a DIY start9 server, and I’ve been running a BTC node just to contribute and I plan on doing more with that in the future but as I start down the lightning node rabbit hole I’m being pulled all over the place. Ideally I’d like to be able to use my own node for transactions that I’m involved in, and build on that with something like BTC payserver (which I’ve only skimmed over) to be able to take payments at markets as a vendor and possibly provide some uncle Jim type services for others that are interested. I have a decent grasp of how things work and I believe I have all the tools that are needed but as I said before I’m all over the place every time I sit down to try and figure things out.
