Rough start with the app @runstr. I had 6 walks, but could not save them locally or upload them to nostr. It worked only for one walk. And to update to version 0.6, I had to uninstall the 0.5x. Sad to loose that data. I'll give it another try tomorrow. Crossing fingers. But what is the version 1.0? It's not an update, seems like a new app?

Kids will get Ubuntu, I'm staying with Arch btw. I hope battery life keeps improving. That and the display are the only thing I miss from the mbp days. Time to say goodbye to fedora atomic.

I would be interested in opinions about Ubuntu or Arch as distro for the notebooks of my kids. Most important app from their point of view - Minecraft #asknostr

If you faced a broken lockscreen after upgrading to fedora kinote 42, it seems to be fixed now

My usage of Mac and iPhone is dropping fast. Good sign of progress for my compartmentalization strategy.

Feels so good to be back on arch even in this version. The only choices left for my main machine are now Arch or Nix. I also gave Gnome and KDE a real chance for a very long time, but I'm back to tiling.

Here I am giving omarchy from dhh a try. His ricing of arch. Not bad, but to much commercial stuff in it like Google photos and contacts, Dropbox, Whatsapp, zoom, etc and obviously his apps hey and Basecamp. I don't have yet an opinion on including docker by default. it makes sense for that audience tho

Fedora immutable os was a nice experiment, but I'm going to move on. It was stable for sure. I could always got back to work quite fast, but the time working around the issues faced bc of the immutability has certainly outweight the benefit overall. The kids are not sold yet to the idea of changing even tho they have even more issues, as they use their notebooks for gaming. Perhaps it plays a role that I'm at the end, the one maintaining their system. Could be a reason ๐Ÿ˜‚
