The three steps I take that helps me not give a fuck about these price drops. 1. Be profitable by making more than you spend. 2. Stack sats with a high percentage of your savings. 3. Optionally keep a cash reserve sized proportionally to your propensity for risk. The price drops do not effect my mood or how rich I feel, at least at the current moment in my life. I am in the heads down and stack phase, maybe others are in a different phase though.

You don’t know yourself deeply until you have kids.

In my family, the generation above me were all doing better than their children are at the same age. They all owned homes, had stable jobs, could afford their lives more, had children and good marriages. Everyone in my generation appears to be struggling more even though in most cases they are more educated, and in some cases have even more prestigious high paying jobs. The issue really is the money, the generation before could have low to medium paying teaching jobs but things were much more affordable so life was good. Now a days either you are filthy rich or you are struggling, there is no in between.
