In my family, the generation above me were all doing better than their children are at the same age. They all owned homes, had stable jobs, could afford their lives more, had children and good marriages.
Everyone in my generation appears to be struggling more even though in most cases they are more educated, and in some cases have even more prestigious high paying jobs.
The issue really is the money, the generation before could have low to medium paying teaching jobs but things were much more affordable so life was good.
Now a days either you are filthy rich or you are struggling, there is no in between.
