I have mainly used Amethyst but sometimes login to Primal. Here are some observations:
Primal doesn't show replies properly. You can tell when you're interacting with a primal user because they lose interest past the first rely. That's because they can't see it. They lose the context of the conversation because they can't see past first order replies.
With Amethyst, you get great context, but because of the fundamental nature of Nostr done properly, you don't see all the replies. Somebody replied that you don't follow and you don't know about their relay. Invisible
Amethyst is hindered by Nostr's bad design.
Primal is hindered by their own bad design, also the guy with no shirt. Both can be fixed
