I have to give Odell props for this — today I learned that he still lists SeedSigner as a recommended cold storage option on his personal odell.xyz website.
Several people have reached out about this. There are apparently at least 10 URLs that were purchased on 5 separate days over a period of 3.5 years, all appear to have the same owner. Some of them seem intended to interfere with our ability to fundraise or accept donations? I honestly could see this sort of thing as a one-off or as a mean joke if you're having a bad day, but the pattern here comes across as something different. Given how many podcasts and conferences his sponsorships touch it feels like behaving this way towards a FOSS project should be a bigger deal? If Nostr is indeed legit with regard to wanting open source to flourish, it seems like this would be of interest here especially.
This is a big part of why I don’t engage much on Nostr, and some of the “cult leaders” are my most prominent personal critics, so it just doesn’t make sense to be around.

I was trying to come up with a joke about how all of our users should take advantage of their “reproductive rights”, and I got nothing.
Just build our release image w/ the instructions below and share the hashes if you’re able. 🧡 View quoted note →
No… it’s blocking FOSS grants for a project that you see as competing with your for-profit products that might be considered “evil”.
Someone who profits primarily from non-FOSS products should not have a say in how millions of dollars of FOSS funding is awarded.
